Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County (Downtown Moorhead) The Historical and Cultural Society operates the museum and archive in the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. The society was organized in 1932 to collect, preserve and make available knowledge of the history of Clay County, Minnesota. HCSCC preserves a collection of over 30,000 historic artifacts, including three historic properties in Clay County. HCSCC also manages and interprets the Hjemkomst Viking Ship replica and the Hopperstad Stave Church replica for the City of Moorhead.

Hjemkomst Center (Downtown Moorhead) Features the replica Viking Ship Hjemkomst and traveling exhibits; home to the Clay county Historical Society and Museum, Moorhead Senior Center; Stavkirke Norwegian Church replica and the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead.

Log Cabin Folk Art Center (South Moorhead) The log cabin was built in 1859 along the Red River and served as a stagecoach stop on the Minnesota State Company's route. In 1878 Charles Whitcom bought the cabin and moved it to the 10th Street North in Moorhead. In 1933 former Parks Director Adolph Bowman and the Moorhead Garden Club moved the cabin to its current location. In 1999, local artists, Gloria Weisgram, Gary Paulsen and the City of Moorhead began to use it as a folk art center.

MSUM Planetarium (MSUM, Moorhead) Focuses on environmental science and offers a wide variety of programs.

MSUM Regional Science Center Buffalo River Site (Glyndon, MN) An outdoor, hands-on laboratory for physical, natural and social sciences

Plains Art Museum (Downtown Fargo) A strikingly unconventional museum of fine arts in downtown Fargo; actively serves the region through art exhibitions, art education experiences and special programs.

Roger Maris Museum (West Acres Shopping Center, Fargo) The museum displays items from every year and every aspect of Roger's athletic career, from high school to the pros; the displays will change semi-annually

Rourke Art Gallery & Museum (Downtown Moorhead) A leading cultural institution in our region providing private and public events, including temporary special art exhibitions of local, regional and national artists. A significant permanent art collection that is continually being added to is always on view either at the Museum or at the Gallery.
