The Chamber gets things done through a force of more than 500 active volunteers who generously donate their time and talents. Put your Chamber membership to work – be involved in a committee! The Chamber has a committee to fit your profession, business or personal interest.

Agribusiness

Agribusiness committee: An extension of The Chamber’s public policy efforts, the Agribusiness committee serves as a collective voice of businesses and leaders to represent agriculture as a key industry in the metro and Red River Valley. The group advocates at all levels of government when needed and educates to spread awareness of the impact of agriculture throughout the region.

Ambassadors - Member Relations

Ambassadors – Member Relations: Serves as the member retention arm of The Chamber, assists with recruitment and retention of member firms, assist with special events designed to promote member involvement and helps to retain members through personal contact, information, encouragement and support. The committee specifically welcomes and assists new Chamber member firms. Learn more.

Ambassadors - Public Relations

Ambassadors – Public Relations: Serves as the public-relations arm of the Chamber, providing groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new and expanding businesses; assists with recruitment and retention of Chamber member firms and assists with special events designed to promote general Chamber member involvement. Business Training

Business Training: Plans and coordinates The Chamber’s Business Training series for Chamber members designed to enhance the success of our community's businesses through a variety of targeted, practical and cost-effective training events. Learn more.

Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo

Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo: Plans and conducts an annual leadership program for adults that provides participants with an opportunity to develop or enhance their personal leadership skills, network with business and community leaders and learn more about themselves, the Chamber, their community and servant leadership concepts. We ask that individuals complete a leadership program (Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo or another) prior to joining this committee. Learn more.

Military Affairs

Military Affairs: Fosters a community of support for the men and women of our military and the missions they carry out on our behalf. To recognize these courageous individuals, the committee plans activities to raise awareness in the community for the work that they do and provide opportunities for the community to thank them for their outstanding accomplishments. The committee also has a keen eye on advancing public policies that will advance our region's military units. Learn more.

Public Affairs

Public Affairs: The Public Affairs committee is the advocacy arm of The Chamber. The committee consists of a cross-section of Chamber members who are committed to preserving the integrity of the business climate by advancing sound policies and a stable regulatory environment for the business community to thrive. Working to assess initiatives with regional significance, sub-committees of the Public Affairs committee include Regulatory/Tax/Budget, Transportation/Infrastructure, Work Force/Education, Health Care, Metro Cooperation, and Energy and Natural Resources. Women Connect

Women Connect: This committee plans, schedules and coordinates the program aimed at enhancing a woman’s professional and personal life by giving them the tools and resources to utilize at work and at home, as well as a network of other professional women. See upcoming events.

Young Professionals Network: Plans, schedules and coordinates quality, cost-effective training programs and networking events that enhance the personal and professional development of young professionals employed by Chamber member firms and helps to connect them to the Chamber, community and each other.
